Hi everyone, and thanks for all your replies.
I've read all your comments. Unfortunately, I suffered an injury back in January and ended up spending a month in the hospital.
But that's another story.
I got back to playing in June and July and found another teacher, but it didn't really help. Maybe I'm expecting some kind of magic solution, I don't know. The frustration is starting to creep back in.
Right now, I see two possible paths:
1. Take an Alexander Technique course specifically aimed at musicians. The teacher is a classically trained violinist, and even though he's not a double bass player, he might be able to help.
2. Look for another double bass teacher. During the summer I attended a few jazz concerts near where I live and made some contacts that I could follow up with.
What would you do in my situation?
Both options seem worthwhile, but I'm leaning slightly toward the first one. Not really sure, though.
