    SOLD Peavey Cirrus 5 string

Excellent bass. Mine is the same but doesn't have the carbon fiber headstock. Still my "go to" bass and can't even imagine selling it. Seems like every time I meet someone who used to have one they always say, "I wish I still had it". I'm sure some lucky buyer will end up feeling the same way.

Is your newest always your favorite?

All over the map on this one. Started in 1969. Almost every new bass became my favorite and main bass for gigs. The last one was a Gibson Victory Artist 1982. Then I bought a P-bass, for sound and looks, to play at gigs when I joined a Motown review band. In the late 90's Peavey started selling...

No longer available Gibson Victory Artist CAR body and neck - reduced price

Reduced price: I have my eye on a bass in a local store and hope to be able to purchase it before it's gone. I hate to give it up but I'm only playing 5-strings these days and need cash for a fretless to add to the stable. This bass is ready to rock or be added to your vintage collection - or...

I might be interested in this. I just started looking for one but I have a bass I need to sell first. Is it still for sell?

    Gibson Victory Bass Appreciation Thread

Found this thread while looking for info on the current value for Artist basses. I started playing 5-strings and never looked back. Never thought I'd get rid of my artist but it's no good sitting in the closet and I'm getting old. Hate to think what will happen to it when I'm gone. Better to...

    Official Ibanez Promethean Club!

I have a 5110 combo. I thought Ibanez might have made a promethean matching 1x10 or 2x10 (vertical) extension cabinet at one time. I went to their site and see that they no longer even make a 5110 combo or amp, just a 3110. The only 2x10 cabinet was a wedge design. Does anyone know if they did...

    Hearing protection

Horror story: There's lots of good advice here. The main thing is to realize the danger and start trying some of the suggestions so you can find the one that works for you. After 35 of years playing I've just retired from the stage and the only reason is because I couldn't hear what I was...

Battle of the mid-priced 5 strings!

Believe it or not I think the Peavey Cirrus is a good recommendation. I have one too and it not only plays like glass but it has a very wide tone range. Another suggestion is the Fender Roscoe Beck signature bass if you can find a used 5 string. It has a plethora of switches that give a wide...
