    Favorite bassist that isn't a household name

    Ok, I'm late to the party, but I've always liked Barry Dean of Brian Auger's Oblivion Express. Some others: Zev Katz, Tim Drummond, Lati Kronlund (of Brooklyn Funk Essentials). Carl Radle is perhaps the best I've ever seen and heard.
