Im new to Brian Auger (pre and post Oblivion Express). I found this live clip and the bass player is quite nice. He starts to shine by about minute 5:30 in this 10 minute clip. Who is he?

Don't know who's playing on those tracks, but the Oblivion Express' bassist Barry Dean lives in Orlando now and is a mainstay on the scene here. Great guy.

Dude huge Brian auger fan here. Seen him probably 5 times. Derek frank, killer bass player who just did a tour with shania twain, LA guy.
Brian's 70's output is my favorite. Closer to it, happiness heartaches, second wind, reinforcements, and straight ahead are my favorite records of his. Groovy soul-jazz with some funky grooves.
He's a monster live, just makes it look easy.
His band now is his son on drums and daughter on vocals and they just hire out the bass chair. What a cool concept the family band, I'm dreaming I could do the same

Yeah, the Happiness Heartache album is one of my favorite Auger albums. It has Lenny White teamed with the very underrated Clive Chaman on bass.
I believe that is Mark Meadows, aka the Bass Cowboy...he toured with Auger's band in2006. Edit, well I'm wrong...it's Derek Frank
