    ReverbNation - Let's fan each other's sites!

I'll join in, went through here and there's definitely some good bands posted. If you haven't gone through and taken a listen to some of them, I definitely would! Band has had some member changes that haven't been updated yet, but the music is there Invalid Link Removed

Just found another Band using our band name...

Yeah, I was a bit worried that might be the answer here. It may take a bit of convincing, though. I think after a few years the guy is pretty attached to the name

Just found another Band using our band name...

I have a similar issue. Noticed today that there seem to be a Canadian band with the same name as my own a couple albums released on CDBaby. Checked the USPTO website and the name looks to be available in the US as a trademark. Some friends and I recently joined the band though the name has...

How many of you listen to your own music?

It seems like the downside of listening to your own music is that you'd get tired of it faster. Once you play a song a certain number of times, it tends to get old, but listening to it too much tends to rush that process. On the other side, you can get some great ideas of things you want...

Best Multi Effect for Bass and g**tar

I've gone through and done some research on each of the suggestions, all of them are much appreciated.

Best way to go about looking for a teacher.

Find an instructor with either a strong resume of playing professionally or some sort of music degree. Just because someone doesn't have these doesn't mean that they will be a bad teacher and just because they do doesn't make them a good teacher, but it's much tougher to go wrong this way.

Best Multi Effect for Bass and g**tar

Great advice guys, cleared up a few things for me. I somehow overlooked the M13 which only makes the decision even tougher! I think that might be the way to go as long as I can get my recording gear to work again, even if I end up having to borrow a guitar amp later on.

Best Multi Effect for Bass and g**tar

Nice, Catfish, so you would say that the talk about the effects not being up to par is a bit overblown? That VB99 looks like a sweet little box, but unfortunately money is a bit of an object. I am jealous, though.

Best Multi Effect for Bass and g**tar

Yeah that was my worry. I saw a youtube video of a guy using a 10b with his guitar and it didn't sound half bad, but that's very little to go by which is why I came to the experts here. My worry on the X3 is that a lot of what I've has said the effects aren't the best and it's much better for...

Components of a Solid Bass Line

I'd say for any instrument the number 1 sign of a good job is to help the song reach it's full potential. So whether the song needs an interesting 16th note rhythm riding the root or a melodic half note melody, it's all about making everyone sound good, including yourself

Best Multi Effect for Bass and g**tar

To preface: Next year I'll be moving to a new city with one of my good buddies who just happens to be a very good drummer (funny how that works with bassists and drummers). We're both tired of how much trouble we have been having with finding good musicians and especially good songwriters to...

Good musical town to move to?

Another +1 on Gainesville. Awesome place with quite a few solid bands.
