I play that p bass as my main bass and love it. But if you can snag a MIJ jag I would. As for the new modern player jag I'd stay away from it.

I play through the Ampeg 410hlf and it's a beast. I picked mine up for about 350 used. If you could find a similar deal I'd go for it.
