Yes,both those basses were mine once. The black L1K I bought about a year before you got it. It was from a guy on the Telecaster Discussion Page, who lived on Long Island. I had five L1K's at the time, and needed Boogie combo so.... Great bass that black one, I kinda miss it now!

The factory is on the near west side of the city, in the Clybourn corridor/ Goose Island neighbourhood just off of Interstate 94. I can't give you a definite answer on whether you could drop by factory, Namm is just around the corner and I don't know what Dan or Carl's schedules are like...

Yes, I have played the Dingwall Neo singles. And liked them as well. But these Lakland Neo singles are a whole 'nother animal! Kind of like a fatter, more refined Dark Star tone if you can believe it. More detail, and easier to control from the picking hand.

No, there's really no point as they are using the same cover as the new Lakland MM style bridge humbucker cover for now. They are hard at work designing a brand new cover ( in chrome I believe), but it's still in the design stage. They'll take the cover as seriously as the pickup itself knowing...
