    Is there a way to improve B string on Fender Jazz?

    I have an American Fender Precision V and an Elite Fender Jazz V. I do my own setup and have no problems. I've been playing over 50 years and love my Fenders. The Precision gets used the most.

    My only requirements are not black with a black pickguard and the fretboard must be rosewood or ebony. No maple fretboards.

    I hate the terms "back" and "front" pickup.

    Over 100 years ago, the first drum sets, or "traps" as they were called back then, used a marching band bass drum on the floor, with a pedal. So, it was really a bass drum. I hate the term kick drum, because, you don't kick it.

    Though I have 8, I only take my 5 string Fender American Precision and my 5 string fender Elite Jazz to gigs. I really could do most gigs with just the Precision, though. I used to do all my gigs with my Aria Pro II 5 string, from the early 1990s to 2018.

    4 or 5 string basses?

    I got my 1st 5 30 years ago and never looked back! I have a 4 string Precision, with the James Jamerson set-up for specialties, and a 4 string fretless. I also have a 7 string tuned BEADGCF for fusion and soloing. My 5 string Fender Precision and 5 string Elite Jazz are my workhorses.
