Hmmm... that's what I'm leaning towards, but ergo's price and portability are pretty great, and I feel like most rock setting the ergo would be better (yet most perhaps most jazz, the Thompson would be). Any more pros and cons? Experience playing rock with an upright, or jazz with an eub?

I'm on the fence between getting an ergo and a thompson rm-100 upright from string emporium. I play jazz, blues, and rock (mainly guitar, but I'm buying with the intent of gigging as a bassist). How does an ergo hold up gigging as a straight ahead jazz musician? thanks, Andrew
