i love my Danelectro's. got a longhorn Bass 6 and my beloved Stan and Dan Doubleneck. i've used the doublenecks Bass and Guitar for many recordings separately . once tried buying a shorthorn Bass thinking it would sound the same but alas it did not.

i played bass on the score for scott pilgram but not the bass battle. that was Jason Falkner who usually plays a mustang and Justin Johnson. Who knows what he played. Starfire?doubt a ric was played. but they can be great basses.

I got this Bass from Bill Merchant in NYC around 1999. the neck had been broken and repaired well. i got it as kind of a beater but it's really way to nice for that. it was set up with new bridge and fingerboard plaining by Lisa Gaze about 3 years ago plays and sounds great. i've recorded with...

i like them, but early 70's are better. supposedly the same pickup as a strat.
