Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 and New York 151 RJ

I have that exact set up, a Tube 800 and Randy Jackson RJ151. I use a Kubicki X-Factor and when I tried that amp set up at Guitar Center I was blown away at how awesome my bass sound was. I used to use an Ashdown Mag 300 115 combo but the Mark Bass rig puts my old amp to shame. I'm seriously...

    Ashdown mag 300 combo question

I have an Ashdown mag 300 115 combo. Is it possible to put a tweeter, crossover, and attenuator in the amp. I don't know how much room I have in the front so I don't know what brand or size Tweeter I could use. Thanks for the help.

I wish they had Ashdown as an option. That would be my pick.

    My 7 year old son

I got my son the rocksmith 2014 and an Ibanez Mikro bass. He's only used it one day so far and he loves it. I hope his drive lasts a while. Being 7 years old, who knows.

    My 7 year old son

My son wants to learn how to play bass. I just bought him a short scale bass and he almost never takes it off his neck. I have been playing for 30 years but have never tried to teach anybody. What would be the best route for me to take to teach such a young student? I want to keep it fun and...

    Upgrade Advise

A medium scale bass may be a good choice. 32" scale basses are not hard to come by. As far as active or passive, that's something for you to decide. I agree that going to a store and trying things out us your best bet. After you get a bass and want to shop for an amp bring your own bass to the...

What is recommended for a 32" scale bass?

I've been playing a Kubicki X-Factor for the last 22 years. It's 32" scale makes it tough to get used to playing a longer scale bass. I love my Factor but would like to have a reliable second bass that may be fun to play. I can't find a list of basses that are 32". Does anyone know of any?

Kubicki Ex Factor. Need somebody who knows

I bought mine new in February of 1992 (post Fender) and it's been my main bass ever since. I've been using DR 45-105 Hi Beam or Lo Riders for many years (stainless steel, I seem to be alergic to nickel strings). They fit the extended E string perfect and I've never broken one. I set my bass...

    Arrange my pedal board

Bass Player magazine had an article on that exact thing about a year ago. I don't remember the issue it was in but you may be able to search it online. If I remember correctly, they gave reasons for having the effects in a certain order.

    1986 Ibanez Pro Line Bass

I have an 86 Ibanez Pro Line bass and want to change the pickups. I was prepared to put in a set of EMG soap bars but realized the EMGs won't fit length. The Ibanez pickups are almost 4" wide. Is there a pickup company that makes pickups that fit directly into those holes? I am not going to...
