Hello CR Club! Just got this and thought I would share. Neck through. Longest sustain of any bass I've had. Made me laugh out loud how long a high G sustained. Pickups look stock but no way that the varitone is stock. Pretty cool and usable tonal options.

Yeah, I just saw/heard the 15. Was kind of 'eh". Although i'm being too picky. Really should be about how it fits in a mix. Hard to do that from demos.

Whoa. Nice! Thank you. Wonder how this compared to the Ampeg Micro VR? Not tube, but supposedly very tube-y. GC has those used for about the same $$ as the Ash

It's all a matter of time. And I'm sure big shows have already arrived at this with guys just using software amps. Maybe not? Don;t feel bad...tech is really making strides. Hard to hear differences these days.

Torpedo Live is a load box/cab sim for live but can be used for recording. And yeah, under 100w. This is purely for recording purposes. Thanks.

Anyone have any recommendations? Is the Trace Elliot Elf worth a try? I'm going to be doing this vs. going direct through my UAD Apollo , and Torpedo will be adding cab sim, so obviously want something that puts me in that amp/cab zone. Not looking for clean necessarily. Thanks

That's a great idea about using the shell. Thanks for weighing in. There will be only one pickup coming with this bass. The other is missing. They are clearing out one of the old Peavey plants and this was a prototype that was sitting around. Basically new old stock in the case. I love wacky...
