Yesterday I ordered one of those Jackson basses that are similar in size and scale to the Ibanez Mikro. Today it arrived. I've never gotten a guitar that came all boxed up before. It was pretty cool going through the process of unboxing it. The excitement increased as I went through each layer...

I'd love to hear who it was that made you want to be a bass player. For me it was David Ellefson's playing on Peace Sells, Jason Newsted on the Black Album and Duff McKagan on Appetite.
