    Yeah it was just a dead string, I bought the thing brand new. the action was offset so i straightened it out and it helped out sooooooooo much. And then the new string on it got rid of it completely. thank you guys for the help

    yeah i fixed it, i raised the action and it helped and only had the dead spot on 17, then changed to new strings and it is gone now, thanks guys

    yeah thanks guys, i didnt buy either, because i am broke, but i think i like the sansamp more, the ODB-3 is just too fuzzy, i like it but not for my sound.

    ODB-3 or Sans-Am?

    I was about to buy a Boss ODB-3 today, but my buddy told me no because a Sans-Am would sound a whole lot better. What do you guys think? I love the fuzz from an overdrive and it would totlly fit my sound, but now i dont know what to believe. :confused:

    J Bass in rock?

    It all depends on how you want to sound, I use the Jazz bass because i love how it picks up the lows, and it sounds great with my southern rock/hardcore band. The percision bass sounds good as well, but the jazz just has a deepness the P-bass doesnt have. Its all on how you want to sound

    Dead Notes/Spots?

    On my Standard Jazz I have a bunch of "Dead Spots". I know it is common on the G string but i have them on my E string. Its more of a "dead area" because from my 11th fret down to my 17th fret there is no sustain whats so ever. Can somebody help me out? please? It is a practically bass...
