Compressor that works well with a variety of basses?

I have used a Keeley Bassist for some time, love it. As everybody says, you set it up and forget about it. I recently got an Empress because I am playing more and more 5 strings and I feel the side chain filter handles better the low B. Shameless plug, I put my Keeley for sale in the classifieds...

    Combo Recommendation?

PJB. I got a Bass Cub Pro a couple months ago. Love it, it sits on my desk, it's really small and sounds great at low volumes. P: BG-120 Bass Combo Amp “Bass CUB Pro” | Phil Jones Bass

The original preamp is Volume, Blend, Tone. It's on a circuit board with the pots attached to the board. It is powered by two 9V batteries. It also had small internal pots. Neck Volume, Bridge volume, Bass, Low mid, High Mid, Treble. The last 4 can be accessed via small holes in the back cover.
