No idea what he is doing but it Sound like some sort of feedback. Got a similar sound when I had distortion on my bass and stood close to my drummer, when he hit his snare drum I got a similar sound from my bass amp.

Hi! Anyone got a höfner shorty bass? (the new ones?) Got mine as a travel and pick up and play bass for use at home but now i use it as my regular bass :) (tried to search but its hard since many people refer to all shortscales as "shorty")

according to me, He´s very good! doesnt he play in a band? just fools around at home? Im not a fan of his superfast slap playing (or anyones actually), but his tapping and chordplaying is nice as hell!

ok. and that is not possible from say putting one pickup in "reversed" in the bass? and then wiring the pickups in series? you need to open the pickup and turn the polepieces upside down?
