Nothing for me - I keep a direct box in my bag in case it's needed, but usually just straight from balanced out of the Stomp to the mixer. I do keep an open slot on my small board for an amp in a box that I route thru the effects loop of the Stomp. Just easier to dial in amp EQ settings in...

9 times out of 10 it doesn't matter in the slightest. Easy to EQ things, and if you have a situation where it's beyond EQ (eg the darkness of Ibanez's Barts) then a pickup swap is pretty trivial. Here's the thing though: you will notice you don't like them...but your band probably won't care...

100% - same boat here in not considering HB gear as a US based consumer. They make great quality, high value products, and do some really interesting stuff. Just doesn't make sense for the US market specifically. I think Thomann has done the rational thing and come to terms with walking away...

Assuming here = USA, shipping for a 410 is about $150. Would guesstimate an additional ~15% in import duties. Landed cost for the both 800 watt head and 410 would likely come in around $850-900ish. Not bad, but given the boatload of awesome amps on the US used market for dirt cheap lately...
