I did finally find one, and I love it. Very unique sound. Ibanez had a short line of TR basses in the 90s that were built to prevent those random imperfect dead zones on a fret board. The TR80 was a successor to many different models, and it was only available in 95 and 96. The 80 was phased out...

Yes, I've seen this. I love that color, it's great! Unfortunately I don't feel 100% comfortable with price point. If I was, this thread wouldn't exist.

How so? I'd say I already know a good amount of theory and I learn new tricks often, and I also practice and learn new songs every day.

I am very conflicted with wanting more basses that I don't need but want them simply to have them. For example, I'd say green is my favorite color. Someone recently told me I should get a green bass. There aren't a lot, and if they are around or above 1,000 dollars. It's a Hofner Violin Bass...
