That is the way I remember it also, it didn't seem to make any difference to the bridge with the holes or without. Thank you so much for your response, it gives me a little more reassurance that preparing my French bass for the wilson will only be a good idea. Then I can easily transfer them...

Ric, do you think that drilling holes alters the sound of the bridge, and by how much?

Thanks Don, the last thing I want to do is drill the holes in my bridge if it will diminish the sound that I am getting right now without the holes drilled. Have you had any experience playing your bass before the holes were drilled, then drilling them and then comparing the sound?
