    Big Q-tron Problem

Well I'm thinking about returning the pedal to get the rest of mey money back so we might find out soon! I was thinking I could send it to someone to get it repaired (as with the refund it only cost me £25). Anyone know of a good EHX pedal person in the UK?

    Big Q-tron Problem

Tried this... And this (24.8V)... And this... And nothing happened :( The pedal behaves exactly the same way when I reverse the polarity. :spit:

    Big Q-tron Problem

I'll try this when I get home! (It's actually the problem which I was referring to as big rather than the Qtron :hiding: ) The polarity is indicated as centre +Ve which I've been using. Yep that's the polarity I've been using.

    Big Q-tron Problem

Yes I do. When I stick the +Ve probe in the tip and -Ve on the sleeve I get +24V. If I do the same for a different cable (for bad monkey/crybaby/tuner) I get -9V so I would assume that's correct polarity for the Q-tron?

I'm 99.999999% sure I have the polarity correct. Before I try reversing it, (assuming I already have it correct) will that damage the pedal?

    Big Q-tron Problem

Hi, I haven't posted here in a long time but I'm having some problems and hoping some of you guys here could help. I recently purchased an EHX Q-tron (the bog-standard XO version, not the micro or the plus) from ebay. It unfortunately didn't come with a power supply but the seller generously...

Going crazy about recording via head with no cab

The manual for an amp that's similar to mine (there's no record of the exact model on TE's site) says NEVER run the output into a combined impedance of less than 4 ohms. It just struck me that I could solve my problems if I could buy a really small speaker cab. And I mean really small, like...

It is solid state yes, bought it second hand so unfortunately don't have the manuals, I'll scour the interwebs tonight :) Any ideas on the hayden? it's a valve amp so definitely needs a load.

Going crazy about recording via head with no cab

So I've been searching fruitlessly for days on how to use a bass/guitar amp head without a cab. I know the speaker output needs a load on it but SURELY there is some product out there that you connect to the speaker out that provides no sound. Here's my situation: I'll be going to uni...

Thanks very much! We're all 17, in college in the UK. I'm not exactly sure what the equivalent is in the US :) We've been trying to do some recordings in our college's recording studio but it's always pretty booked up just before exam time (now!). Hopefully we should be able to get in there...
