That's all news to me. Mine doesn't have line out, only DI. . afaik, which isn't very much, unless the amp gets driven it won't heat up. When working hard to drive speakers it gets hot, but not when it's idling.
A line out should be the preamp signal on full bore anyway, not dependent of the amp attenuator. If it really is dependent on the attenuator then TBP player is probably right and the amp will be disconnected when the line out is in operation. The pdf should spell that out without any guessowrk required.
