    Always trying to learn new vocabulary through transcription and learning as many new songs across as many genres as possible.

    Rock stars who play boutique/"coffee table" basses?

    Paul McCartney used a five string Wal for some years in the 90s. A lot of jam band bassists (Phil Lesh, Mike Gordon etc) albeit they're not as much "rock", swear by Modulus and Alembic.
