Ended up buying a 102p cab, was a big sound difference from my Hartke 410tp. I think the cabs have a particular accect? Or because it has more tonal range it sounded greatly different, either way took me a couple minutes to get used to it but now it's fantastic. Really compliments my MB head and...
I've searched the threads and have gathered a vast array of information.
BUT I'm still slightly stuck stuck. My local guitar center Mansons Guitar Shop can and have said they'll get in whatever I want, but I need to narrow down my options first.
I'd very much like a MB cab, but one of the...
My MoMark got me hooked on the MB heads. Got the 600watt 'Black' at the minute...anyone got some good experience of the eq44s-he? Love the eq42s I have but might be a bit of fun for the full range of Semi Parametric...? Would be great to grab a number while i'm here. Be part of a social group...
I'm glad I found this thread. I was in a regularly gigging band that played loud hard rock and alt time signatures. The cabs sound like they would have been ideal for that but....
I left that band and am currently upgrading my gear, so I'm in my bedroom for the most part playing not very loud...
I do apologise, only really started using TB yesterday, still not fully 'with it' Cheers to both you guys anyway! and Scotch thankyou for your advice and experience. Was definatley an insight for me :)
Now i'll carry on my learning the TalkBass way!
Do you know what? I never even thought of going to studios and offering my work! I have a diploma in Music and I missed the simplist of ideas!
I think my gear would be ok for studio work, my MoMark Black600 and 102 with my Warwick means I can alter sound fairly quickily and move it all...
I know a lot of successful bassists come on TB and for me a youngster I'd love to hear, as I'm sure a lot of guys on here would, how you've managed to get to become a reasonably successful session bassist?
I once spoke to a guy called James Kirk and the guys he'd played with was just unreal...
I'd +1 the Warwick! Great diversity of tone, played a LOT of bass' before buying and my Jazzman blew me away, plus great bass' if you want something personal by adjusting string hight and spacing (might not be unique to warwick though).
Defintley worth a play with your amp!
Bought my first propper bass a few weeks ago, Warwick Corvette FNA Jazzman 4 with Honey Violin finish. Warwicks got another customer for life! Such an amazing range of tones and growl available.
Played a LOT of basses before commiting but funnily enough never tried this bass, best impulse buy...
I bought a momark, originally had the solid state pre amp, wasn't my thing, sounded dead and sterile, swapped it for the TM1 and got more punch bite and kick, reminded me of a Ampeg, slightly less furious but killer for sure!
Hello!
I'm looking for a bass synth. I've found these two both really nice sounds, cost around the same price.
I like the EHX because it allows more sound control but the MarkBass has more user presets and still gives a nice tone.
Any preferences or suggestions?
I have a Dunlop Bass Wah, EB...
