P bass copy with humbucker - wiring issue

Yes I should have been clearer, it is definitely on the D and G strings that the problem is obvious, the point I was trying to make is it seems more like a string thing than a frequency related issue. Brand new fresh strings on it. Thanks a lot for the responses guys, I'll most likely swap...

P bass copy with humbucker - wiring issue

I doubt it's related to the pickup height, because if I was on either the neck or bass pick up only, say an open g string as opposed to the exact same note on the 10th fret of the a string it will be the same volume, and if I blend the 2 pickups the one on the a string will be loud and the open...

P bass copy with humbucker - wiring issue

Hi all, picked up this Session by 'Riverhead sound research' P bass copy, which while only being a cheap 80's copy actually plays really nicely and I'm happy with it. Only issue being the knob set up has got me a little confused - it seems that each knob is a control for a pickup, as below...

Need some help making / find some backing tracks

Hi all, I have my year 12 exams coming up, and am trying to work out backing tracks for three pieces. I'm having a hard time finding backing tracks without bass, and was wondering if anybody would be able to help me remove the bass from the original recordings, while retaining a high sound...

    SWR Amp voltage change

Hi all, I have a SWR SM 400s amp, that is 110v, and I need it to be 240v, is there a way I can change it without having to get a step-down converter? If anyone knows about a conversion I also have some schematics I can forward. Any help appreciated! Thanks, Jack

    SWR SM400s power input help

Hi all, I have bought this amp head from the states (I'm in Australia) and the amp runs 120volt to the best of my understanding, and Australian power is 240 volt, will I need some sort of transformer or will it convert by itself? Thanks, Jack

Anyone have any experience with Reliablefender at Ebay?

If I'm not a bad judge, I'd say the vast majority of guitars he buys to 'part out' are factory seconds, as the things I have bought that were meant to be new indicated this, eg, dint on paintwork, cracks on headstock. And the ones that aren't probably had an issue with one part or another, so he...

Anyone have any experience with Reliablefender at Ebay?

All I can say is BE VERY CAREFUL! He has some quality ****, I don't deny that. I bought 1994 P Bass body MIJ that was absolutely mint, I am extremely happy with it. But I also bought a Jazz Bass neck (USA) listed as 'brand new mint' that has cracks (probably 5 or so reasonable sized) between the...
