    Well yes I too would have assumed that the pickup was original but maybe that pickup is exactly the same as far as build quality and specs

    Nice bass. I would just clean it up if it needs, set it up with new strings of your choice. For me, I prefer the tone and feel of Diaddario XL strings. With a good amp, you will have a great sound with your new bass. Make sure that the output jack is clean. Enjoy it.

    Has anyone purchased one of these KXB500 amps or have anything else to share about experiences with this amp since Mar.12 I did read the the thread.It's alot to take in. This thread keeps tempting me to purchase one.
