Just an update. I brought it back and he sold me this Modern Player. It's a rock solid bass and I love it. Thanks for the responses. I definitely learned I need to learn more about basses and not just play em lol

That's a good point. For playing bass for so many years, I kick myself for not educating myself more. It's created more headaches than I would like.
