At what point does a dedicated bass amp become obsolete?

    We’re using 2 Alto TS318S subs and 2 Alto TS315 tops.

At what point does a dedicated bass amp become obsolete?

Nope! We will bring the bass amp and full PA and use them both :) I was just curios since we have used e-drums for all our previous gigs and never used the 4x10 bass cab live.

At what point does a dedicated bass amp become obsolete?

Thank you very much @drpepper ! I totally got the answers I was looking for :) We will be playing for 3-3,5 hrs and the first two sets are usually a lot quieter, but now I'm very confident that either a 4x10 or the PA could handle this gig very well :)

At what point does a dedicated bass amp become obsolete?

Hi! My band have an outdoor gig coming up in a few weeks at this venue: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hWfxhku8nWo This time, we will bring an acoustic drum kit and regarding the bass guitar, I'm wondering whether it's better to use a separate bass amp (a good/strong 4x10) or to go direct to...

Need some advice on how to order my pedals to get the best signal path!

Hi! I have the following pedals: 1) Tc electronic SpectraComp Bass Compressor 2) Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff 3) Behringer BD21 4) Boss 7 band EQ pedal 5) A noise gate This goes direct to the Mixing console/FOH, we don't have any amps or cabs or wedges on stage (just IEM). The BD21 can get...

    Review my bass tone

Hi! This is just a recording from my band's last rehearsal. We're just playing for fun, doing some weddings, bar gigs and stuff. Is the bass to thin? Need more dirt? Thank you :)

Anybody using Alto Truesonic Powered Mains?

You should get the 315s or 318s !

    Your Band PA.

We're using Alto's TS3 PA system, two TS315 tops and two TS318s subs, so that would be a Medium + PA :) For us, it works perfectly. Plenty of power and SPL for the gigs we do and I think they sound awesome. We are all going direct, we even use e-drums and wireless IEM, so no amps or wedges on...

Recommend me a decent cheap PA system

Wow your band must have a very soft and gently drummer :D To have a setup like that, you must have somebody out in the audience who can tell you whether the mix is good or not. To me, it sound like it can be difficult to bring up the vocals to the audience, especially considering the fact that...

Recommend me a decent cheap PA system

In my band, we're using Altos TS315's as FOH and they sound great. With the subs (two TS318s), we can do up to ~300 guests. My suggestion to TS is to get something that could also be used outside your garage, if needed later down the road. The price difference between the TX and the TS line is...

    20-25 songs, 1 hr 20 mins ... better to have 2 sets?

Thank you! So if you are playing 4 hours with 3 sets / 2 breaks. That means each set is about an hour long? And a 3 hours gig with 2 sets / 1 break, each set is about 80 mins?

    20-25 songs, 1 hr 20 mins ... better to have 2 sets?

Hello! I'm playing in a band with 2 guitars, 2 vocalists, bass and drums we are playing rock and pop covers from the 60's up until today. We are playing in bars, on weddings, corporate events etc. Since we are fairly new to this game, we usually limit our set list to around 25 songs in one...
