i currently have an ibanez sr 705 and an ashton p bass copy and want an upgrade but im not sure what level to look at too upgrade it without it being to expensive, im a big fan of rex browns tone, oh and i still want it to be a 5 string

the bass itself isnt that bad, its just the bridge and the tuners are rusting away and one of the tuners are a bit broken

One of my old basses is an Ashton, its basically a fender P bass rip off, do you think that it would be worth modding it with some new pickups new bridge etc?
