Not really. I don't consider myself a vocalist and I sound just like him. Inhaled lows + exhaled highs from the back of the throat = Chelsea Grin replica. If you can do inhales properly there's no rasping to them. I think Chelsea Grin has incredibly simple music to play on all instruments...
