When I bought my 83 fender P bass the original pickups had been replaced with symore duncan quarter pounder pick ups. I'v always been tempted to swich em around to hear the difference. Can anyone give me any info on what the difference characteristics of each would be.....the symore duncans are...

Yeah man based in Ireland...I checked them up. They sound great but not in my price range at the mo..maybe if i could sell the scout 15' speaker then it could be possible....cheers

Thanks for the info...I now know after reading a lot more of this ginormous thread that I should try out a few things before looking to sell. Thanks to everyone for all the info. I went looking on the local ads and see what's knocking about and there's a guy near me selling an Ashdown MAG...

Yeah that's not a bad suggestion might try that during the week..thanks for the feedback guys. At least that will eliminate the speaker as being the prob anyway if it is so

I must say I'm not happy with my sound from this amp at all. have had it about2 and a half years now using an 83'Fender P bass through it with symore duncan pick ups. The sound just seems to always be very undefined, woolly, no tightness or definition in it and hard to cut through the other...
