Ok. I will double check to see that the fender Bassman at my church is in fact the 112 and not the 115 model. Because like I said, that little amp kills from low b to g string and I was under the impression that it is a 112 combo amp

Ah ok I see. So in your experience, what would you say accounts for the difference between the weaker SL 112 and the 112 on the Bassman? Is it just the voicing?

Nah, I wish I could though! Would directly solve my trouble shooting issues!

So the Neo magnets can get really loud but not produce the same amount of thick bass. I would assume the Bassman have a regular magnet and not a neo magnet?

Also could another reason why the bassman's 112 outperforms my SL 112 be due to the fact that it weights like twice as much??

Although I hear that switching out my cab is one issue, what I'm getting from you guys is also that because I have a 5 string, it almost requires me to have that second cab (or at least 2+/ "x" cab )It will not only add clarity to the low b but also some girth to the overall tone across all...

Would the new fender rumble 500w heads sound similar ?

What can cab do you use it with? I also play in church and have a TH500 but I'm having issues getting the SL 112 to clearly project the low b and just thickness in general.
