    I was there. It sounded very booming and a lot of sizzle to the distortion. Emg active pick ups and the xxl should get you that tone.

    Yea the character nob is to high up. Its sounds good but when I crank my amp that's when you start hearing all the extras... hmm I guess the the more volume i put the more i have to cut the high and character.

    I dont have the bbm on all the time. Its mostly coming from the VT. Is there any way of getting rid of all the static and excess noise without cutting back on VT?

    A couple of days ago i played a small show with my VT BASS DELUXE and BASS Big muff connected to my amp. I thought it sounded pretty good but some other bass players in the crowd pointed out that some notes sounded louder than others and that they could hear alot of grind and clicking in...

    Dam this forum got out of hand. After messing with the vtd for about three weeks now I got the settings down good. I got my 2 channels dailed in and the third channel I'm constantly messing with . Pretty dam good pedal. Worth every dollar.

    Bass bling! Lol. Witch model is a derect replacement for a Fender Japanese jazz bass (aerodyme). I don't wanna drill any holes.

    Get a musicman stingray. You could find one for 700-900. I have a Japanese fender aerodyme jazz bass and I'm also considering buying a second bass.

    I played it through the exact amp I have. It sounded good but for that price I didn't really think it was for me. I guess its the craftsmanship that makes them so expensive.

    i want the brightest strings

    I have a GK backline 600 and I'm using a tech 21 vT bass deluxe pedal. I'm good on equipment and eq settings its just I like the sound of really bright strings. Has anyone tried the Trujillo dunlop strings?

    Fender aerodyme jazz bass. With SD Quater pounders (PJ). Maybe I should go with some active pickup?

    I guess I'm sticking with blue steels. I just bought myself the Marcus Miller DR and Im not too impressed. They sound good though but blue steels are much brighter.
