Sometimes I struggle with how much is too much when writing a good bass line. On one hand you don't want to play root notes, but on the other hand you don't want to be the lead instrument. Does anyone else struggle with this? Any good tips?
I too like to play with better players. When I do, I can feel the energy in the room and I start to play better. What helps me is what I lack in talent, I make up in rhythm. LoL
Has anybody else find it difficult to find same level guitar players/drummer to jam with that are of a certain age? I find that most that are my age are really good and beyond my level or they are really young and that won't work for me either. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated?
Same story. I've always was drawn to the bass, even when I was in my teens, but life got in the way. I picked it back up in my late fifties and started taking lessons at the local music store. Then I got my daughter to start showing me things. It all started to click once I found a friend...
Came across this sone the other day and it seems to have a pretty cool bass riff, that I can't figure out. Bass Tabs for this would be great if anyone is up to it.
