Eventide H90 - what presets are you people using/creating?

Take a look at the patches on Patchstorage. Some pretty good ones there to play with. I usually start with a stick preset or ones online and then modify them to meet my needs. Eventide H90 | Patchstorage

    Source Audio Atlas compressor

This was an instant buy for me. Here's why... Recently, I built a couple of different compressors including an EQD Warden clone (an optical compressor) and a custom version of the Engineer’s Thumb Compressor (similar to a MXR Dynacomp). Both are really good but tend to be used for specific...

NEW Sansamp Geddy Lee MP40 Preamp Pedal

I went ahead and springed for a used Alpha Omega. After listening to multiple demos, seems like a really nice alternative to a B7K. For more vintage stuff, the MP40 does the trick. :D

NEW Sansamp Geddy Lee MP40 Preamp Pedal

I tried a Darkglass Vintage and, while it was good, I think the standard Microbes is a better choice overall...specifically the B7K. I find the Vintage a bit too dark in tone. The B7K can get there and then some.

NEW Sansamp Geddy Lee MP40 Preamp Pedal

Just got mine yesterday. I have a YYZ and figure the MP40 would be a nice upgrade to it. Have to say, I'm impressed. Minus the Boost and Shape Shifter button, it's a standard YYZ pedal. No changes there. The YYZ is a pretty darn flexible pedal to begin with. It's not what I think of as a...

After switching to 5+ string basses, what did you do with your 4-string basses?

I just recently started playing bass again. Picked up a 5-string Ibanez and really love it. However, 5-strings tend to be pretty long and have a lot of overtones...which isn't a bad thing. Means you get deep, rich tones out of it. However, if you want to do something radical like the whole...

NEW 2021 EHX Ripped Speaker Fuzz Pedal

So, I have an HX Stomp for the guitar side of my rig. It's a dual channel rig with bass on one side and guitar on the other. Gives me a ton of flexibility, even going so far as to do a Royal Blood type thing. Anyways... After trying a bunch of different fuzzes, I picked up a Ripped Speaker on a...

Anyone using an Electro-Harmonix Battalion Preamp DI?

What are you using now? And what made you want to get rid of it? Just curious. This is all good info. :D

Anyone using an Electro-Harmonix Battalion Preamp DI?

Strangely enough, I also ordered a SansAmp DI v2 which is likely to be a better replacement for the YYZ. Kinda want one that caters more for 5-strings, which the SansAmp does.

Anyone using an Electro-Harmonix Battalion Preamp DI?

Ah, so I’m going in a good direction. One it gets here, I’ll do the Pepsi Challenge with the SansAmp YYZ. Should be interesting, especially since the EQ ranges are a bit different.

Anyone using an Electro-Harmonix Battalion Preamp DI?

Yeah, I've been on the fence about it. I plan on adding a Big Muff Deluxe in the mix too. Two types of distortion along with a solid preamp should do the trick. I do like the SansAmp YYZ...but I would like something that can produce a similar sound but more versatile. Figure I can get more out...

Anyone using an Electro-Harmonix Battalion Preamp DI?

Stupid late response to your post. I stumbled onto the Battalion today and decided to order one. It’s replacing a SansAmp YYZ pedal…which sounds awesome but isn’t the most flexible thing. I figure the Battalion will give me the same tone and then some.

Guitar Lab crashing on macOS Big Sur

And...I'm returning all my Zoom stuff. I submitted a support request about this weeks ago and just seems like Zoom can't wrap their head around it. I did try a few things including loading up a copy of Catalina to see if it helps. Still crashes. So there's something definitely weird about...

Guitar Lab crashing on macOS Big Sur

Strangely enough, that's one of the reasons I returned the BOSS effects processor I got originally before getting the Zoom B3n and G3n. Roland relies heavily on actual software drivers. While I had no problems loading them on Big Sur, they are not compatible with M1 processors as of yet. That...

Guitar Lab crashing on macOS Big Sur

Which is odd considering Zoom themselves say otherwise: macOS Big Sur compatibility
