Eventide H90 - what presets are you people using/creating?

I just got my new Eventide H90 and I'm curious how you people are using it, what presets, etcetera, and what programs you've created for it.

I'm a noob to effects (I use them sparingly), so I could really use some of the collective's wisdom here.

I threw it onto my pedalboard just to play with it a bit, but I'd like to be able to get away from using separate effects if possible and I know the H90 is the answer.

I play more guitar than bass these days.

H90 was a sweet, no-brainer upgrade over my two H9s - new algorithms, smaller footprint, routing flexibility, ease of use.

My main programs are:
  • ones that replace my Digitech Drop for pitchshifting my guitar down
  • some pitch stuff I ported over from my H9s (pitchshifted delays, Crystals algo patches, etc.)
  • general delays and reverbs

Hey I am still getting my head around this pedal... It isn't an easy one but I currently have it in insert mode with my drives in one loop and my fuzz and flanger in the other loop. I am using it in select mode with the bank select which gives you presets per bank. This way I am able to blend or switch between loops/pedals as well as incorporate everything in the h90. The pitch stuff is incredible and the new pitch algorithm is the best i have ever heard. The way you can route the pedals is just amazing.

I basically am using the H90 as the brain of my board 100% and that means it is important to be programmed correctly which takes alot of time. I think I will add an extra swtich to toggle between the banks in select mode.

I am desperately trying to keep my board as small and powerful as possible and the h90 seems to be a great option for this. I really want to stay away from midi switching this time and keep my board under control.

So basically my Board is:

Comp (cali cB) before anything> H90> Loop 1 dirt( MBD2, Omicron, Rat)> Loop 2 (Musket Fuzz and Flanger) > to amp / preamp. I also have an expression pedal for pitch/wah/volume etc

If anyone doesn't know loops can be inserted pre/post/mid/parallel in any order!

I might put the Omicron in the fuzz loop.

It does mean a slight bit of tap dancing and preplanning but the payoff is a hugely powerful small board that can do pretty much anything you could think of and more.

So for an example, In Tool's Lateralus there is a line at the end with a octave pitch shift with heavy distortion and I like a bit of reverb on it to make it bigger.

That Patch would be Polyophony pitch (EXP pedal)> Loop 1 (inserted in mid) with rat and Omicron engaged> Room reverb

Even more fun with fuzz engaged but can get a bit hectic.

I got from ProAudioStar but haven't really used it yet. I got it for other worldly sounds. Otherwise I have a pretty simple bass setup. It will probably replace my mostly sourceAudio pedal board but I will keep some of it. I will use it for mainly my experimental avant-garde group --Even run it with Baritone saxophone.

Anyone have any new patches from the fun stuff that's been added in the last few updates? There don't seem to be a ton of bass focused ones on patchstorage

Just picking up using my H90 again after a while of focusing on single function analog pedals, and it's overwhelming again haha
