have you tried a pedal like the Boss LS-2 or Joyo Orthros? specially love to run parallel signals with overdrive/distortion or an octaver

parallel stacking effects is a lot of fun I have the Boss LS-2 which allows all sorts of routing of effects/signal chains

check the Joyo Scylla compressor cheap (around 60 bucks) and lots of adjustment

that would work, but the active and passive pots need different resistance values it'll be hard to find both the values you need in a single stacked pot

Admitted that it's only four (each pu is switchable as neck/bridge coil or humbucker) and not 6, but there's room for more... :woot:

IIRC the DarkGlass uses the same 12" EV speakers as the Barefaced From what I understand the Barefaced gets better accoustics/performance from the enclosure design (check their youtube channel if you're into speaker nerdery :cool:) I would have liked a more sturdy grill on the DG cab instead of...

I got a Darkglass 2x12 cab about a year ago It's 1000W @ 4Ohm and really light and easy to move Should fit your budget perfectly Highly recommended

With a preamp like on a stingray, the volume pot is part of the preamp circuit and can't be singled out So if you want to bypass the preamp, you'll also be bypassing the volume In bypass mode, you'd be running from the pickup to the switch to the jack and have no volume (or any other) control

should work fine it's how the new Ray2 is set up

IIRC the (passive) Commerford Stingray isn't VVT, but has a volume, tone and a rotary switch to select parallel, serial or single coil (same setup as a shortscale Stingray) But, as already mentioned, if you have a 2 wire pickup, neither will work

Made some more mods on my Ray4 over the weekend It was inspired by the MTD Kingston Currently with 2 cheapo ceramic PUs, just as "proof of concept" Knobs are passive VVT, like a jazz bass The two 3way toggle switches allow to choose which row of coils are activated (front/both/rear) Rows 2 + 3...

Are those Turner multicoil pickkups? If so, what kind of preamp are you running with those?
