Got fired from a band I had played with for 8 yrs.... wanted to change “ directions” into a Rage Against/ Beasties type band.... guitar player switched to bass..... only problem, he couldn’t play slap!....they lasted 4 months.... lol

After many string manufacturers... I truly believe Pyramid golds from Germany offer the most flexible and "finger" friendly flats... and... they sound like the classic rock stuff my band plays!

There is a subtle difference between the two--I like the front PU better, it's more like a P-bass sound. I'm am gonna keep the body style and put different PU's in it and do a neck-thru on the next one!

I FINALLY finished it! The color is Tamiya plastic model paint w/an automotive clear-coat. The base was Rustoleum primer. It took a lot of attempts to get this done,but it was a very good learning experience! The bass plays and sounds very much like a boutique bass and is what I needed for gigs...

I recently bought a Tele Warmouth neck and used Guitar Reranch Nitro Cel. satin rattle-can paint on it. It came out beautiful and very sealed! This brand of paint lays down great and is VERY easy to use. It's well worth looking into, all you have to do is mask, dry sand w/ 1200 between coats...
