Thank you, ej22tgc8 and jweiss. I have seen first-hand some of Stan Hooper's good work; it just wasn't with my own bass. I hope I never need to visit Peter Prier or Scoggins & Scoggins for repairs, but since I work in downtown Salt Lake City, they are both convenient for me.

The Upton is the one with the violin corners and the solo extension. The $2800 for the Christopher does include the case and the bow, and it does have an adjustable bridge.
