    Ampeg B-4R vs. Firebass 700 w/ EV 1200 watt power amp

    Hi, I'm a first time poster - :help: I have been using my Peavy Firebass 700 (700 watts@8 ohms) to power an Ampeg cabinet with 8 10's. To get the full capacity of my cabinets I need a 1200 watt power amp. So, wanting to upgrade - I was going to get an Ampeg B-4R which is 1000 watts...
