    :) yes, I've also since gotten a new Timber with the new tuners and new flats. I agree they are way better. My favorite bass now

    Hey, did you ever find a solution? I also have a new Timber and put the flatwounds on it. Love the feel but the 4:1 tuners are super sensitive with the steel core flats. Would love something with a higher ratio.

    update: I set the witness points and it did help a little. The E string is still not exactly right, but it'll do.

    Hah! I told you I wasn't a bass player. :unsure: As a ukulele and nylon string guitar player, I have never heard the term 'witness points' but found some other threads here and it makes sense. I'll have to give that a go and report back. :thumbsup:
