Thanks Basically Bob, and thanks for the links I'm intrigued but the Tech 21, heard a lot of good things about Tech 21's but I've never played through one.

I hadn't even thought about a Roland might try one out,I have a friend who uses a old Blues Cube and is pretty happy with. I own a GK MB115 but it's blown the power amp twice now so I pulled the amp off it and turned it into a back up speaker cab

Thanks for the input, I had considered going smaller and still separate amp and cabs but if I'm going to make the switch I think I'll try and stick to a combo.

First off Happy New Year to all, I would like to know what some of your thoughts and recommendations are for combo Bass Amps, my standard rig is a Ampeg SVT7 into a 410 cab, after last nights gig I got to thinking that 410 was just my monitor and the most of my sound was straight from the head...

No I never did get my Jazz neck from B Hefner, luckily I had used PayPal and filed a dispute, I did get my money back and bought a neck from another company. I believe B Hefner has gone under. Good luck!

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about B Hefner closing down? I ordered a new new neck for my Jazz Bass in November but it still hasn’t shipped. I tried to check their website and it seems to be down and when I called their number I says they are moving and will reopen in January, if...
