Thanks for the great info and photo, Xad! You trimmed the silk parts, correct? It looks like you cut them to a little over an inch on the E and G strings and about two inches on the A and D strings. Is that about right?

I was deciding on strings and went with the TI flats JF324. Is anyone using these on their Mikro? If so, do I need to trim the silk before I wind them on? Any other tips? Thanks!

Exactly! Much the same way the Corvette Stingray or the Eames chair has a functional style that appeals to the masses. They just happen to be perfect and sexy at the same time. ;-)

It turns out I bought the wrong model. I searched Amazon for Mikro bass, but clicked on a listing for a 34" scale version that came up because I liked the color. I'm trying to cancel that before they ship it. :/
