Squier Mini P? For 500, you can get 2!

Only catch is that the Affinity series has a bad rap, so the headstock snobs will shun you. The Mini P, however, is a fine, responsive beast indeed that's very fun to play. At least, mine is.What's the catch? Looks to good to be...
I've picked up a SBMM Stingray & Mustang PJ during lockdown and really, both a great instruments. I can (and hopefully soon, will!) gig with either happily.
Hank, I would love to hear your impressions of how the SBMM Stingray and Mustang PJ compare as far as tone, playability, weight, and anything else that you find distinctive. I live in L.A. but might have to buy online depending on what stores have in stock and whether they'll let me in to play them. Thanks!
The peep's here may be able to help.Hi!
So I feel like getting an electric short scale (30 inch scale or so). Why? For fun and experimenting mostly.
I don’t want to spend a lot on one though, under $500 for sure but the least is the better. I’m going to buy new. Why not used? I like to try before I buy used stuff so buying used online is out of the question for me and the local used market is a bit crazy (prices are not significantly lower then new).
So I’m looking for ideas in that price range for something that’s worth it. At first I thought of a Squier Bronco, but the price of those just went up. Maybe an Ibanez Talman? Squier Mustang?
I’d like to read shared experiences with some cheap short scales and recommendations.
Thanks!
Hope this helped a bit! Sorry if it got ramble-y, just trying to answer all questions I'd be asking. It boils down to me, really, do you want the Precision tone or the Stingray tone?
They are cute... like the Jackson Minion are, in another style. But how does the even shorter scale feels like compared to a 30 inch? I wonder if it feels legit or just more like a kids instrument.Squier Mini P? For 500, you can get 2!
