Reviving an old thread. I got my starfire I in the mail yesterday. It plays pretty nice. I definitely see where the cost cutting is compared to the starfire ii. I will report more after a band rehearsal. The neck is a lot slimmer than the Sf2.

I bought my green starfire ii for 1100 through sweetwater(w/the case), I think it’s a very fair price for the bass. Out of the box it played great and needed no adjusting at all. It’s a beautiful bass and it definitely turns heads when I pull it out. I am about to order a starfire I as a sort...

I have a starfire II bass that I bought about a year ago. It plays great, I have been super happy with it. I bought it w/out trying it.

I disagree, i think it has a bit of an eko/teisco kind of vibe to it.

That’s where I have gotten most of my guilds from. I have 2 guild solid body guitars, the starfire ii and a 70s/80s b301 I recently picked up. I am a big guild fan.

I haven’t seen one of these! I have a green starfire bass that I bought about a year ago and I have loved it from day one. I will probably be ordering this as soon as they’re available.
