Man this looks sweet and only 599! I wish I knew where to preorder!

I haven’t seen one of these! I have a green starfire bass that I bought about a year ago and I have loved it from day one. I will probably be ordering this as soon as they’re available.

That’s where I have gotten most of my guilds from. I have 2 guild solid body guitars, the starfire ii and a 70s/80s b301 I recently picked up. I am a big guild fan.

Looks really nice. I love the idea of an affordable semi-hollow bass with a “P” pickup configuration.

I disagree, i think it has a bit of an eko/teisco kind of vibe to it.

I think it looks pretty cool... different from a lot of the same-old, same-old. I'd sure like to give one a try.

I have a starfire II bass that I bought about a year ago. It plays great, I have been super happy with it. I bought it w/out trying it.

I have an Eko, it doesn't have split pickups. I had a Teisco year ago too and no split pickup. They were not common at all back then, except on P basses. but each to his own, I don't like it.

Hey they put it on the website finally. Two colors. But the msrp will be 835 which isn't as enticing as 499

That split pickup looks terrible on that bass.

"Terrible" may be a bit over the top, but I agree that I like the traditional Starfire better.
$499, and I could live with it, but $835, give me a real Starfire.

I think they only look good on certain basses. They put one on a Fender Hot Rod J bass too and I didn't like it but like the Hot Rod P bass, weird.

The bass looks interesting and was definitely enticing at the $599 price that they were first reported to be selling for, but I agree that it’s not so enticing at $835.

Same here. I went from "maybe," to an absolute "nope," as soon as I saw that.

Guys is 599! I just ordered one on sweet water. Will report back with some demos when it gets in
