    Hey blufolkman, Upton Bass (www.uptonbass.com) has a fine pickup called the Revolution Solo. Not too expensive, and great tone. Suggest you check it out.

    Does anyone have experience using the Roland D-bass 210 for upright? How is the tone? In particular, does it work for slap?
