I forgot to say, I prefered the Zyex strings to Helicores without question. The sound is much more even, and I got a beautiful growl. The sound was really fat the whole way up the finger board, and you were still getting really nice tone all the way up the G string.

I recently played the Zyex strings on a friends bass and I liked them a lot. They have a gut-like feel and a nice controlled, round sound. The tension doesn't really feel any different when you compare the E and G string. You can't dig in a whole lot though, so it's a bit strange to adjust to. I...
