Thanks for posting the link! Quite helpful hearing some of the subtle and not so subtle differences between each string. I've been working with Obligatos/guts for quite awhile now and love their "vintage" tone.

Helpful as that site may be, it's important to keep in mind the strong interactions that can occur among strings, basses, and players. That is to say that the differences/characteristics you may discern from listening to the recordings may not be representative of those that you experience when those same strings are installed on your bass.

Kurt's playing on the Zyex sample was arco only. The Pizzicato line was introduced by Kurt; no playing sample was provided. I think it would be helpful to provide pizzicato sound samples for products that are geared toward pizzicato players.

Really liked the comparison site. The Garbos sounded very similar there to the way they sound on my bass. Didn't like any of the others nearly as much and don't like steel strings. I have had quality control problems with Garbos though. Can anyone suggest a replacement for them that sounds similar?
