So they started doing this to the SM-400 before the SM-400s?

Yes but mine is not a SM-400s it is labeled an SM-400 as it has no cooling fan it is cooled by a heat sinc, it only puts out 200 w a side stereo, I checked that website and I even called the support number.

I have an odd SM-400 that hopefully someone may be able to help me figure it out. From all the specs I have read and the fact thats all its marked as it is a standard SM-400 but it has th extra knob the SM-400S has on the front panel. Has anyone heard of this or is able to shed any light on this...

Is it possible to put the head itself into an actual rack rather than just leving it in the carpeted rack it comes with?
