I'm wondering the same thing, I just picked one up used for $140 at GC. Was super filthy, I had to replace aural enhancer knob, and the carpet was super gross looking. But it played perfectly fine. Looks great, but I want to just have it in a rack rather than the carpet casing.
The amp is built in sort of a "half chassis" meaning the front, back, and bottom are metal case and the wood/carpet headcase it's in make up top and sides so, no. You can't just pull it out and slide it in a rack, at least not without doing some DIY sheetmetal work to it first.
You can get good sound out of those but they are known to run hot, mine always did anyway. Best thing you can do for it is to get a tiny little 3" or 4" personal fan like you'd see sitting on a secretaries desk and set it on the cab behind the amp blowing on the heatsink....heat problem solved. I'm convinced it helped mine last a lot longer, heat is the worst enemy of an amplifier.
